Stephen’s Episcopal School’s new Aquatic Center has officially been unveiled! The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on September 19, 2025, coinciding with a larger celebration of the school’s 75th anniversary. Funded by a legacy grant from Still Water Foundation, the new Aquatic Center provides students with year-round access to swim practices and meets, strengthens the school’s ability to recruit and retain student-athletes, creates opportunities to host visiting schools for competitions, and serves as a lasting campus asset that will benefit generations of students as part of the school’s long-term vision.
The Aquatic Center holds a Myrtha Olympic-size swimming pool that was imported from Italy and installed over the course of the past year. Holding 660,000 gallons, the pool measures 50-meters long and has four pumps to continually filter the water. Along with the pool, the new facility features locker rooms, offices, and a beautiful observation deck from which visitors can take in a swim meet while also enjoying sweeping views of the Colorado River.
Prior to the new Aquatic Center, St. Stephen’s Spartans made the best use possible of an outdoor pool. While appreciated by students, there were inherent limitations with weather often dictating practice and meet schedules. Now with a beautiful new indoor facility, students are thrilled to be able to practice and compete year-round.
Still Water’s landmark gift to build the Aquatic Center helped kick-off St. Stephen’s Lasting Impact Campaign, the school’s largest ever growth campaign celebrating 75 years of excellence. Still Water is proud to partner with St. Stephen’s in charting a path for future generations of Spartans to flourish.
